This workshop explores how Indigenous knowledge, biomimicry, and regenerative urban design can inform more respectful and resilient responses to the climate crisis. Through two case studies – Odenak and George Brown College – presenters will share how deep collaboration with Indigenous architects and communities shaped design outcomes. The session will unpack when and how Indigenous firms like Two Row are engaged, the consultation strategies they lead, and what equitable, long-term partnerships look like in practice. A panel discussion will address the complexities of merging design traditions and highlight how collaborative processes can deliver culturally grounded, climate-responsive urban environments.
