This workshop begins with a synthesis of a wide array of available tools and resources for carbon reductions, providing a practical roadmap to practitioners. Diving in deeper, architects from Perkins&Will and KPMB will then each present a proof-of-concept project, revealing how, by creating their own material-specific tools in-house, they can address long-term carbon reductions in both mass timber and concrete. This approach enables practitioners to exact change in the manufacturing of both fundamental building ingredients.
